The hotel is freshly built in a newly developed area right next to the old town. There is a pedestrian bridge that takes you right to the Zuraw Crane and other historical buildings. There is an alley of new restaurants and bars for all tastes next to the hotel. Underground parking is limited and cannot be booked in advance, but it is highly recommended if you can find a place. It costs 120 PLN per day. The interior is very warm and bright with high quality materials used throughout. We had the family room with a corner view and an extra sofa and it was wonderful. Large, with a nice view of the river and the ferris wheel in the distance, a desk to work on. Some rooms look out onto the inner courtyard, so be careful when choosing, if it matters for you. The bathroom had a full bath with a thermostatic tap. It had heated floor (although we couldn't figure out when it was turned on) and a heated mirror. Sound insulation was pretty good, we couldn't hear our neighbors at all, but there was some sound from the street during the New Years eve, but this is understandable. At other times the streets around the hotel are not too noisy. Breakfast was good and it's served until 10:30-11:00, which is great for those who like to get up later. Maybe the hotel wasn't full, but contrary to other reviewers there were enough tables for everyone. The selection of food is quite decent with interesting local extras like salads and herring and healthy options like fruit and smoothies. Coffee was good. All in all it was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and even though it's not one of the cheapest, it was well worth the price.

The first thing that immediately struck me, was the excellent location. The hotel is situated in the center of Gdańsk, within walking distance of all sights, restaurants, pubs and clubs. It is, however, a modern complex, with excellent facilities such as a garage to store your car and wel insulated rooms. I would recommend to opt for the included breakfast. there was a lot of choice, including the option to go for a warm breakfast (i.e. fried eggs, beans, pancakes and baked potatoes among others). The included diner was good (three courses and two options to pick from). A big advantage was that it was possible to eat between 4 o’clock in the afternoon and 9 o’clock in the evening, which gave some extra flexibility. That said, Gdańsk has so many great restaurants that this option is not a necessity. Finally, the hotel was very clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful!

There was a wide variety available for breakfast for both children and adults. Gym facilities were good. Bar fridge was lovely addition to store water. Beautiful view from the room. Sky bar was great and easily accessible. The location of the hotel was perfect, easy, short walk into the city. Many many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Closely located to the airport and train station. The hotel was happy to store our luggage while we explored city before heading back to the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have to recommend this hotel. Perfect and rich breakfast. Some dishes were changing. Excellent coffee from a coffee machine. Breakfast also suitable for people intolerant to lactose. The hotel is in the heart of the city, close to everywhere. There's also a Žabka market nearby, plenty of bars, restaurants. I recommend going to Montovnia for a meal as well. The city never sleeps but if you want to go to sleep into your room at Holiaday Inn, don´t be affraid about street nois. Windows are perfectly soundproofed.

Everything was perfect in our Family Room with River View: the view, large space, the cleanliness, the towels and bathroom products, the wall-to-wall carpet. The breakfast was very rich. We also sometimes took dinner at the hotel restaurant which was also top notch. The hotel parking was a blessing in the very busy Granary Island. Overall top quality hotel in Gdansk at a low price (in Paris you could not even buy a two-star closet at this price).
